Head of IT & Security

The role focuses on managing and strengthening OpenZeppelin’s information security, privacy, IT systems, and compliance programs. It aims to meet enterprise security standards, build customer trust, and ensure the safe adoption of AI across the organization.

- IT and Infrastructure: Manage identity access, employee onboarding/offboarding, endpoint security, disaster recovery, data backups, and automated IT operations. - Strategy, Governance and Budget: Develop security strategies, long-term roadmaps, risk management plans, departmental goals, and oversee IT budgets and technology procurement. - AI Security and Governance: Ensure safe AI adoption, approve AI tools and workflows, protect AI systems and data, manage AI vendor risks, and comply with emerging AI regulations. - Compliance, Audit and Enterprise Trust: Manage SOC 2, ISO 27001, penetration testing, security audits, vendor risk assessments, and customer security requirements.

5+ years working in blockchain or a FinTech with an enterprise client base (e.g., financial services), including navigating rigorous third-party security diligence
