AI Response Evaluator

About the job iMerit is looking for detail oriented analysts to evaluate and rank AI generated responses to image based prompts. You will judge answers on accuracy, relevance, clarity, conciseness, safety, localization, and how well they follow the user’s instructions, then explain your reasoning in writing. Much of the job comes down to this: look at the image, look at what the model said about it, and decide whether the two actually match.

Interpret conversational context to understand the user's actual intent. Evaluate AI-generated responses for relevance, accuracy, clarity, and helpfulness. Rate responses according to established quality criteria. Rank multiple responses from best to worst. Compare different answers and identify their strengths and weaknesses. Write clear explanations justifying why one response is better than another. Verify factual claims using approved research sources.

Review instructions carefully before starting each task. Research unfamiliar topics when necessary. Distinguish between factual errors and differences in writing style or opinion. Identify missing information and unsupported claims in AI responses. Assess whether responses directly address the user's question. Provide evidence-based feedback on response quality. Maintain professional standards when handling sensitive or ambiguous content

Strong reading comprehension and the ability to understand detailed instructions. Excellent written English communication. Good analytical and critical-thinking abilities. Sound judgment when evaluating ambiguous situations. Research skills and the ability to verify information from reliable sources. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
